Travel to Dufftown: Touring Scotch whisky distilleries

Dufftown is a quaint countryside town. It took us a few hours to get from Edinburgh to Dufftown by car (and a while to get used to driving on the left side of the road). The road trip was a nice change of scenery and pace from our regular travels thus far. I was told there were a lot of green pastures and sheep and some cattle alongside the highway.Sheep in green pastures of ScotlandAfter dropping off our stuff at Castleview, a true B&B run by a hospitable and friendly couple, we ventured out first to Balvenie, which had a less-than-stellar outcome (as you can see in the video). We had better luck at Glenfiddich, and after a day full of whisky, our blood sugar had spiked, and we were craving junk food. Had there been a McDonald’s closer than 30 miles away, we probably would’ve hit that drive-thru. Lucky for us, we still had all those Scottish snacks squirreled away at our B&B.What’s your preferred drunk food? Are you a Scotch or whiskey drinker?
