Free online EdX course: Introduction to Inclusive Talent Acquisition

October is both National Disability Employment and World Blindness Awareness Month. This year’s NDEA theme is #InclusionWorks, which refers to how an inclusive workplace can be more productive than a less diverse one. In honor of this awareness month, I helped co-develop an online course entitled Introduction to Inclusive Talent Acquisition with Perkins School for the Blind for Harvard University’s Extension School, EdX.Intro to Inclusive Talent Acquisition is for hiring managers and anyone interested in diversifying their company by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding employees with disabilities. Today, the population of those living with disabilities is one of the fastest growing sectors in the U.S., so inclusion is important for maintaining a well-rounded, diverse company culture. This free, self-paced, four-session course will run until December 5, 2016, so you can log on and learn at your leisure. As of its launch this week, there are more than 500 students enrolled in the course! Please consider enrolling and/or sharing, so that we may move closer towards a nation of inclusivity and opportunity for all.
