Cooking with cannabis on Bong Appetit tonight on VICELAND, 10:30 PM EDT

I was invited to be a guest chef on Bong Appetit, a show on edgy media channel VICELAND. Since I’ve been promoting my episode, which will air tonight at 10:30 PM EDT, there’s been a lot of controversy. I’ve lost a few fans on Facebook, but I was surprised I earned even more new followers.Infused cocktail and spring rollsI don’t like to stir up controversy, but I truly feel I am not doing anything morally wrong. I cooked the food on the show but did not consume it. Cannabis is legal in California where the show is filmed. I’ve read and have heard personal testimonies of people whose health have benefitted from responsible and moderate consumption of cannabis. I know I can’t please everyone, so be it—bye-bye, close-minded folk. I respect that people are entitled to their opinions; I just wish people would respect mine and others’. In ten years, I believe cannabis will be as common and widely accepted as alcohol. If alcohol and cigarettes are legal, then marijuana should be, too; then government can tax the hell out of it and make education and healthcare affordable for everybody.Enough about politics.Infused spicy lemongrass beef noodle soupAlong with my family, friends, and fans, I’m excited to tune in to tonight’s episode of “Bong Appetit” to see how the whole episode came together. The shoot took two full days, so we’ll see what the editors have done in post-production to whittle it down to a half-hour show.Infused Vietnamese coffee ice cream coneComedians and other artists came to dinner to enjoy my infused food, including Reggie Watts from "The Late Late Show with James Corden" and my bestie co-contestant from MasterChef, the lovely Felix Fang!Tune in to VICELAND tonight, Thursday, October 12th, at 10:30 PM EDT to watch the hosts teach me how to infused all my Vietnamese-inspired courses with cannabis.Do you consume or cook with marijuana? What are your thoughts on responsible and moderate consumption in regards to health benefits?Bong Appetit cannabis pantry
