Travel to the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher in Ireland

The Cliffs of Moher are how this trip was born. Even though I can’t see, I’ve heard (and remembered from photos past) how beautiful Ireland was, those emerald green cliffs jutting out over steel blue sea.At home, photos of our travels line the walls going up the staircase, and I wanted to add Ireland’s breathtaking views to the collection. And that’s how it all started. I said, “Let’s go to Ireland.” Then I said, “Well, John likes Scotch whiskey, so let’s hit up Scotland, too.” Then we said, “Well, might as well start in London since he’s never been there either.”On this day of the Ireland rail tour, we stop by a preserved medieval town at Bunratty Castle. Their kitchens were nothing more than a hearth and some cookware hanging on a wall.I’d probably eat boiled potatoes all the time—that is, until the famine.I love Ireland for its history and beauty, the people for their resilience. And we had the best time on the Ireland Rail Tours. There was a good balance of group touring versus independent exploration. Our guide was named Jonathan, and he was great, too: friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and enthusiastic. You could tell he enjoyed doing what he does. I advise you request him if you book the tour.Been to Ireland or the Cliffs of Moher? Thoughts?
