Taste my menu at the Dining in the Dark experience in Sacramento this Thursday, March 22, benefitting the California Council of the Blind

I just returned from Doha yesterday where I was cooking at the live theater as part of the annual Qatar International Food Festival. Just a couple days in Houston, and then I’m off to Sacramento to attend the Dining in the Dark fundraising dinner, benefitting the California Council of the Blind.I’ve curated the menu, and together with the California Council of the Blind and the Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova Hotel, we’ll be putting on a spectacular dinner where diners can experience food the way I and other visually impaired folks do. Food tastes different and becomes a more sensual experience when you take away the sense of sight. The California Council of the Blind 2018 conference and convention is taking place this week at the Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova. I’ll also be reuniting with Tommy Edison, with whom I’ve formerly done a YouTube collab. If you’re in the Sacramento area, please consider supporting the CCB and their mission to empower blind and low vision folks in the state of California. For more information on how to support or attend the dinner, visit the CCB Dining in the Dark event page.To learn more about the California Council of the Blind, visit their website or Facebook.
